What Satellites are in my camera picture?
Satellite Photo-bomb Simulator predicts whether satellites will cross through your camera's field of view (or reproduces a past picture!) at a given time and location.
Setup: Enter your location, camera pointing (azimuth/elevation), lens (focal length + sensor), and the date/time. Choose a capture mode:
- Snap — single moment, shows which satellites are in frame
- Long Exp. — accumulates satellite trails over the duration
- Video — records a simulated video sequence
- Timelapse — captures frames at intervals with sidereal tracking option
Press Start to generate. The simulator timewarps to your chosen time, fetches the correct TLEs, and renders the star field with satellite positions and trails.
Tips: Satellites are only visible when sunlit against a dark sky — typically around dawn/dusk. Upload a real photo to overlay trails on your image. Use Toggle Portrait to match your camera orientation. Past times use historical orbital data.
